Frequently asked Questions

Accurate information is essential for high-quality execution, which is why we’re here to answer your questions.

How to choose the right mechanism based on door weight?

When selecting a mechanism, it is crucial to consider the weight of the door. Manufacturers usually offer different mechanism models designed for specific door weights, so it is recommended to choose one that matches your door’s specifications.

Is the size of the front panel important when choosing a lift mechanism?

Absolutely. Lift mechanisms differ in the strength or force with which they open or close the front panel. Although individual mechanisms allow adjustment of force within a certain strength class, choosing the correct strength is key. Only with the proper selection will the mechanism operate within the optimal adjustment range, which significantly affects its lifespan. The formula for calculating the required strength can be found in the lift mechanism’s technical documentation.

Can I use two dampers for heavier front panels?

Yes. The lifting force of the dampers is doubled in this case. The damper’s force is expressed in Newtons (N), meaning that two dampers with a force of 80 N each will together provide 160 N of force.

Does it matter if I mount the damper on the left or right side?

Functionally, it doesn’t affect the damper’s performance. However, it can impact accessibility inside the cabinet. For an extreme right cabinet, it would be impractical to mount the damper on the left side, as it would limit access and make organizing inside the cabinet more difficult.

When should I use a gas spring instead of a mechanical lift mechanism?

A gas spring (damper) is used for smaller and lighter front panels where there is no need for a complex mechanism. They provide quiet and even opening without additional levers.
