Do you develop custom ABS edge bandings according to order?

Yes, we develop custom ABS edge bandings upon request. For development, we require a master panel, based on which we produce the edge banding in the desired decor, structure, texture, gloss level, and—depending on the intended use—in either ABS or PP material.

What are the advantages of PP edge banding?

PP (polypropylene) edge banding is a lightweight and flexible material ideal for edging small radii without stress whitening during edge processing. It features excellent resistance to fastnss to light, chemicals, and solvents. PP is environmentally friendly as it can be recycled or incinerated without separating it from the panel.

What kind of edge banding can I use for edge processing small radii with BAZ technology?

For edge processing curved furniture parts with BAZ tehnology we offer custom-made flexible ABS edge bandings with special formulation or PP edge bandings suitable for edge processing small radii.

Do you keep on stock paintable ABS edge bandings?

Yes. Our standard stock includes paintable ABS edge bandings in white colour, available in various thicknesses and all standard and custom widths. Paintable ABS has a special primer applied to the surface that improves paint adhesion.

How do we ensure the quality of ABS edge bandings?

We ensure ABS edge banding quality through constant input material inspection, primer quality control, UV sun tests and supplier certifications including REACH, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.

Can we offer personalised packaging of ABS edge bandings according to customer request?

Yes. ABS edge banings are packed protected on pallets or in cardboard packagings. Upon request, we provide personalized packaging such as “pizza” boxes or blister packagings with the customer’s logotipe and roll labeling with custom stickers for traceability.

Why is primer important for the adhesion of ABS edge banding to the panel?

Primer is a pre-coating applied to the back of the ABS edge banding that ensures reliable adhesion of the adhesive to the edge banding and the panel. It contains a UV additive allowing visual inspection under UV light source. In additional to the primer, other parameters are also very important for high-quality adhesion: the appropriate choice of of hot-melt adhesive, the workshop temperature, the adhesive temperature on the application roller, the temperature of the panel and the ABS edge banding temperature and the machine setings.

Yes. We provide personalized ABS swatches upon customer request, sorted by manufacturer and panel collections, with optional customer logotype printing.

What are laser edge bandings?

Laser edge bandings are ABS or PP edge bandings for invisible glue-joint (ZERO joint) intended for edge processing with laser, hot air or infrared rays (NIR). On the back side of the edge banding is applied a functional layer, which is exactly the same color as the edge banding. In the edging process, the functional layer is melted and provides almost invisible, homogeneous and seamless transition between edging and board in the edging process.
