Frequently asked Questions

Accurate information is key to high-quality execution, which is why we are here to answer your questions.
What are the benefits of water-based paints and varnishes?
The technology of water-based paints and varnishes today is fully comparable in quality to solvent-based coatings, while offering numerous advantages. Since they contain no solvents, they are more environmentally friendly and free of the unpleasant odors that accompany newly lacquered products with solvents. Production can also be cheaper because both thinning and cleaning of tools are done exclusively with water.
What does the "G" and number in a paint/varnish name mean?
The number following the letter G indicates the level of gloss. The higher the number after the letter G, the glossier the final layer; conversely, a lower number indicates a less glossy or matte finish of the varnish or paint. Although this method of indicating gloss level is used by various paint and varnish manufacturers, there can be variations in gloss levels between them. We recommend making a sample on the original substrate before each use to verify the suitability of the gloss level.
Where can I find technical data sheets for paints and varnishes?
Technical data sheets are available for all products, containing the most important information about the product, such as general product information and instructions for use, possible application areas and suitable substrates, proper surface preparation and recommended primers, information on application technology and coating structure, consumption data, appropriate thinning, and drying times. They are located on the product page in the online store.
