What are melamine edge bandings?

Melamine edge bandings are single-layer or multy-layer edge bandings made of a special paper, impregnated with resins, printed conventionally or digitally in plain or wood decors and lacquered with environmentally friendly water-based lacquer from matte to high gloss in a smooth finish or various haptic structures.

What types of melamine edge bandings do you offer?

We offer different types of melamine edge bandings for edge processing :  Rigid single-layer or multi-layer edge bandings for straight edges,  Flexible single-layer edge bandings for softforming edges,  Highly flexible single-layer edge bandings for door rebates,  Paintable edge bandings,  Blind edge bandings.

What is the difference between melamine edge banding and finish foil?

The difference between melamine edge banding and foil is the thickness of the paper as the base material and the purpose of use. Edge bandings are used for edge processing of furniture elements, therefore the thickness of the edge banding paper is approximately 0.30mm, while finish foils are used for profie wrapping or flat laminating, therefore the thickness of the finish foil is approximately 0.15mm.

Can you offer melamine edge banding for door rebates?

Yes. In addition to the stock of melamine edge banding for straigh edges from stock, we offer melamine edge banding for door rebates intended specialy for door manufacturers. Due to their flexibility, melamine edge banding door rebates can also be used in certain cases for profile wrapping, such as door frame profiles.

Can we develop melamine edge banding and foil according to order for projects?

Yes. In addition to the standard stock, we also develop melamine edge bandings and foils for profiile wrapping for projects. For development, we need a master panel based on which we develop the edge banding in requested decor, structure, texture and quality depending on the intended of use. Depending on the customer's requirements, we can develop melamine edgebanding and foil with exactly the same color, structure and gloss.

Do you offer melamine edge bandings and paintable foils?

Yes. We stock melamine paintable edge bandings in various thicknesses, available in all standard widths and widths upon request. Upon request, we can offer paintable foils for painting in a wide variety grammages or paper thicknesses. Melamine edge bandings and painatble foils can be lacquered with overlacquorable lacquer (base lacquer) or can be without any lacquer for further lacquering.

What are PP – Polypropylene foils?

PP foils are flexible foils made of a special polypropylene base in a plain color or printed decor intended for 2D profile wrapping of furniture profiles, door frame profiles and flat laminating e.g. door leaves. The surface of the PP foil is protected against wear, scratches and chemicals with a special transparent lacquer. Upon request, we can offer and develop PP foils and PP edge bandings in an identical color according to the master panel in plain colors or digitally printed wood decors.

Are melamine edge bandings available preglued with a hot-melt?

Yes. Melamine edge bandings are available from stock preglued in all standard widths. Edge process is done manualy with an iron or with a hot air.

Are melamine edge bandings and finish foils available in Anti-Fingerprint Matt finish?

Yes. Custom development and supply of melamine edge bandings and finish foils in Anti-Fingerprint Matt finish with a deep matte gloss level of 2–3 are possible.
